Pumpkin

Pumpkin or Umpa-Lumpa

So I was sick for the middle week of Ramadan, and thought “hey, why don’t I learn from this and share that”

Inside:
- 3 Negatives and 3 Positives for a Muslim that is sick
- A very unexpected educational point (I hope it doesn’t gross you out)
- A word of advice (and words to constantly remember) from the Prophet, peace be upon him.

Narrated Jabir: “The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, visited Umm as-Sa’ib while she was sighing. He asked, ‘What is wrong with you?’ ‘The fever,’ she replied, “May Allah debase it!’ The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, ‘Gently! Do not curse it. It removes the sins of the believer as the fire removes the impurities of iron.’Muslim

Narrated ‘Aisha: (the wife of the Prophet) Allah’s Apostle said, No calamity befalls a Muslim but that Allah expiates some of his/her sins because of it, even though it were the prick of a thorn.” Bukhari

Narrated Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri and Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, but that Allah expiates some of his sins for that.” Bukhari

Yeah I just got a cold this past week. Add to that allergies and my sinuses are going nuts. Good reminder, right now the idea of being able to breathe properly through both nostrils seems like a huge blessing.
