    “I wish for you to enjoy a healthy breakfast everyday.”

    lol That was good.

  4. April 8th, 2010 at 21:07 | #4

    I learned this concept 1 yr ago (2009) but actually started followed it few months ago.
    Gonna expand on it in RE: video inshaAllah

    For myself:
    11am = High
    3pm-ish = Low until Maghrib
    8pm = post-Maghrib high until 11pm

    so I dislike early morning classes too…

    April 8th, 2010 at 21:22 | #5

    i knew about it and somewhat followed it.
    am-noon= low [supposed to be most productive at that time] :s
    noon-10ish= high
    after 10pm= low or high, depending on what i age.

    i disliked morning classes too. they suck!

    nice sweater

  6. April 8th, 2010 at 21:35 | #6

    My High Times are during the evenings surprisingly. Usually I’m in a really bad mood during the mornings from 9 AM – 12. Then after duhr I get a little more energy that helps me get through the day. But I have most of my energy around 6 PM until 12 AM and then my body starts crashing lol

    How did you manage to do the spider man thing btw?

    My energy… Always high during regular days… (Literally!) , but as soon as exam season is overhead… lowest of the low!

    @Mohamed Sheikh from your arabic class
    Lol Br. Mohamed Sheikh… We “brown” people start doing stuff when we are absolutely sure that we will not be able to make it on time. I guess you should learn this ART!

    MashaAllah keep those videos going!

    For me, High energy = Mornings/afternoons
    Low energy = Evening time

    I noticed, that people who take advantage of there high energy times have a good outcome and get things done … but when you are trying to jam your brain i.e studying at low energy times sometimes doesn’t work.

    Best time when one has high energy is after fajr when ones mind is fresh!

    The prophet s.a.w used to send the Muslim army out after salatul fajr and he also
    stated in a beautiful hadith.

    At-Tirmidhee narrated upon the authority of Al Ghamdi that the Prophet (sallallaahu-’alaihi-wasallam) said:
    “O Allah bless my Ummah in its early rising!” and whenever he dispatched an expedition or army he sent them early at the beginning of the day. Sakhr was a merchant who always sent his merchandise early in morning thus, becoming wealthy (3). That is why we find the craftsmen and traders are particular about making good use of this time. Those who sleep up to the late morning have denied themselves the blessings of this early hour.

    I assume that even for the people of the salaf there best and most energetic time was after salatul fajr

    Very very interesting, i feel like i subconciously knew all this high and low energy stuff just didn’t think about it, i guess listening to you was like listening to my concious =)

    i suppose for me high energy= 6 am till about late afternoon (love mornings/morning classes)

    low energy = 6 pm and onwards ( i tend to stop all my activities and can never study at night)

    ps. im sure you’re next vid will again be my concious speaking =)
    Keep up the good work it most definetly helps!

    As Salaamu ‘Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu.

    I knew about it, but really didn’t implement it much to be honest. But this video has motivated me to start Insha’Allah.

    Jazakallahu ‘Khayran for another beneficial video bro, keep them coming Insha’Allah.

    Amazing videos Bredren! Mashaa Allah!
    I knew about it to a certain extent but never really followed it. My highs are mornings and evenings. Lows are during lunch time.
    Also, usually a bad/no breakfast or bad/no lunch keeps me on a low for the entire day! Its those assignment and Exam days where i don’t eat breakfast or lunch and end up being lower than your cellphone quality ;)

    Also, when can i get lessons on climbing vertical walls??
    How many times did you fall on your face?

    April 9th, 2010 at 04:26 | #13

    I can also vouch for @Abdul Malik Mohammad being at a high all the time. Literally 24/7!! Masahaa Allah!

  14. April 9th, 2010 at 05:37 | #14

    @Mohamed Sheikh THIS is where it’s at…forget Arabic vid – it’s only university

    @Abû Mûsâ Al-Ḥabashî :)

    @nobo ya, at least you know…

    nobo :

    depending on what i age

    umm…I agree?

  15. April 9th, 2010 at 05:46 | #15

    @Sadiyah You’re gonna laugh at the “making of” the Spiderman picture :P (in RE: vid inshaAllah)

    @Abdul Malik Mohammad Always high – ya i witnessed that.
    For exam “low” it happens to me too…but I think I’ve “figured” something out about that…

    @Abd-Allah ya can’t “study” when the brain is barely functioning.

    Jazakallahukhair for the added points, it’s a real important point about the Prophet’s sunnah (sallAllahu alayhi wasallam).

    @Heba lol @ speaking from your conscience
    Your pattern (high morning, low evening) seems to be different from few of us (night owls) here…but a better one nonetheless

    @Burhan Uddin wa alaikum assalaam warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
    Glad you benefited, wa jazakum.

    @Islamer wow no breakfast/lunch during exam time? Hope my du’a makes it through :P

    you’ll see the face-plant in RE: vid inshaAllah…although more sad to watch than dramatic

    Assalam alaikum bro

    I love the spiderman trick!

    Personally, i find that eventhough i am not a morning person i force myself to do important work like essays and exercise during the early morning after Fajr. As Fajr is getting earlier i find it more and more difficult to keep the routine up and am often half asleep.

    My energy remains low until about 4pm where i get another burst which last up to around 11pm.

    There are days when i am tired for the whole day, maybe thats just my age?!

    By the way i really like you videos and was wondering if you had any advice on how to create and edit my own videos as well as setting up a blog. InshAllah i’d like to have a go and experiment at home. JazakhAllah and keep up the good work!

    Asalamulikum warahmatullah.
    wow this is like the first time i herd this before but thanks to FB. anyways i really don’t know wat my highs and lows are. but i guess i can say i start being high around after thuhur threw maghrib. then after that i start getting a lot lazy then i was. but yea thanks for the adive bro:D

  18. April 9th, 2010 at 21:06 | #18

    @Nadir wa alaikum assalaam Nadir,

    True, fajr is getting earlier and more difficult to stay up from then. An important part of successfully staying up post-fajr is taking the mid-day nap (qaylulaah – Sunnah of the Prophet as well, sallAllahu alayhiwasallam)

    For you, it’d probably be ideal BEFORE your burst at 4pm.
    I try to get rest during my low times so high time is real high time…although I still have to work on consistency

    Vids – I mainly use a very basic editor (Windows Movie Maker) which is on all windows, little touch ups by ma-man Mahfooz.
    Blog – mine’s set up on WordPress (you can search tutorials online), but a very simple site-builder I’d recommend is http://www.Weebly.com

    @Bint Abdul-Haqq wa alaikum assalaam warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,

    Excellent, great to hear it’s a “new” insight
    Glad you benefited :)

    Salam – keep up the good stuff. I guess I’ll try forcing myself to study hard in low-energy times now…
    High energy for me: early-late morning (about 9am-11am), late afternoon(about 3-5pm), and evening after maghrib;
    low energy :late morning to early afternoon (11am-2pm), early evening (5pm-Maghrib)
    Also wanted to say that sending the update about the new video posted actually wanted me to come check it out so hope that helps.

    Assalamu Alaykum,

    Great discussion doing on …

    Just wondering …

    Does drinking coffee in “low energy” times increase ones energy? Or it more of a psychological effect in ones brain?

  27. Arshad
    April 10th, 2010 at 10:10 | #27

    @Nahyan
    Lol I must have been in low energy when I was typing my post…I meant I will force myself not to study in low-energy times

  28. April 10th, 2010 at 11:39 | #28

    @Gouled wa alaikum assalaam Gouled,

    Coffee – ooo that’s a big part of the RE: video :)
    Glad you brought it up.

  29. April 11th, 2010 at 17:33 | #29

    Oooo interesting one… I have my high energy times and all all sorted out :P

    Early mornings are the best!! Nights are the worst.

    I have something interesting to add… there are some parts of the month when you’re feeling really really really really down… you know what I mean? But from a woman’s point of view, I recently read a book called “The Venus Week” (it’s for women, but if you’re a guy and you’re married or will be, you should read it :D )… the way our body works is so… hmm.. subhanallah. There’s always one week of the month, due to hormonal changes, you’re a total piss off. You don’t feel like doing anything but resting and you get emotional at the drop of a hat. Worst time ever to work (your body assumes ur pregnant, even if you’re not). Then there’s one to two weeks, again, due to hormonal changes… when you feel happier and better and more confident… that’s the BEST time to put your energy into something useful.

    All you have to do is figure out when your good week (Venus Week) is and when your low energy days are (Minerva Phase)… And I swear, if you have it figured out, LIFE BECOMES EASIER!!! And maximizes your productivity. lol… Oh and this only applies to women.
